Adult Basic Education (ABE)

  • Chisago Lakes offers full-service ABE programming for all area residents.  Adult Basic Education  provides  free  educational programs and services for students, who wish to receive their GED, brush up on basic skills, obtain job skills, or study English as a Learning Language. Late afternoon, morning, and evening classes are available.

  • English-Language Learning (ELL) Classes  Begin working on your English skills today! English-Language-Learning classes are free classes for foreign-born adults. Come join our community of English learners in a comfortable, friendly environment.

    General Education Diploma (GED) Classes  The time to earn your GED is now! Register and prepare by taking practice tests. Our staff will help you work on the subjects you need.

    Basic Skills Brush-Up Classes                     Brush up on the reading, writing, and/or math skills you need to advance at work, pursue additional educational goals, help your children with school work, or increase your confidence.

    Private Tutoring                                                         You may sign up for private tutoring, if you would like to learn how to read or if you would like to learn English.
