Curriculum Mapping

Curriculum mapping is a process where educators develop an outline for teaching and assessing the academic standards throughout their course of study. As part of curriculum mapping, educators create learning goals and set the scope and progression of learning across courses. They also use curriculum mapping to measure classroom progress and guide future instruction and resource procurement.  In addition, curriculum maps ensure alignment between standards and what is taught, reveal gaps and redundancies in learning, and support alignment across grade levels and content areas.

When you select a curriculum map to view, you will see an overview page of the course, and then tabs for each unit of study, the standards in that unit of study, and the approximate length of time spent on that unit.
