Affordable Connectivity Program
What is the Affordable Connectivity Program?
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB Program) to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices.
If your household is eligible, you can receive:
Only one monthly service discount and one device discount are allowed per household. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a participating provider that offers connected devices (Note: not all internet companies offer device discounts.) The internet company will provide a discount to the consumer.
- Up to a $30/month discount on your internet service
- Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
- A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)
Internet Service Options
Connect students to resources for free WiFi if access to the internet is not guaranteed at their home. Many school districts have systems in place for providing hotspots to students in need. In most cases, this work can be assisted by technology departments. Others might find options for free provisions of WiFi through the following links:

As of today, our education assistance program is ending. We remain committed to keeping everyone online and have options available for impacted families.
- Option 1: Lifeline Assistance is a government program that makes internet affordable for many low-income households. If a customer qualifies, this credit could provide internet service (25 Mbps download speeds) for as low as $5.70 per month, including a modem. If they’ve tried to get Lifeline assistance before and were rejected, we encourage them to see if their current situation qualifies. They should visit Midco.com/Lifeline to register and learn more.
- Option 2: If customers don’t qualify for Lifeline, they can still have internet service with our new Midco Internet Basics package featuring up to 25 Mbps downloads for $14.95 per month, including a modem lease.
