Run for School Board

Learn How to Become a Candidate for an Upcoming School Board Election

Serving on the school board is one of the most meaningful ways to contribute to our community. Chisago Lakes Schools relies on the dedication of its board to help guide district priorities and support student success. The role requires thoughtful leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to serving all students. In return, it offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our schools.

Community members may run for election to the school board. Members are elected by Chisago Lakes voters and serve four-year, overlapping terms, with elections held every two years. If you are interested in public education and community service, we encourage you to consider running.

The next board election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 with three (3) seats with terms expiring December 31, 2026. The term for a School Board member is four (4) years.
